What we fix
Questions we hear about garage door repair — timing, price, and what the visit includes. If yours is not listed, call (909) 510-0843 and ask before you book.
Call while we are open, 7 AM–7 PM daily. A person answers, not a menu.
Call (909) 510-0843Springs, openers, off-track doors, and new installations. One crew, one price, finished on the same visit when the part is on the truck.

Doors that stick, sag, reverse, or stop halfway. We find the failed part instead of selling a new door first.
Book a repair
A loud bang and a heavy door usually mean a torsion or extension spring failed. We size and balance the new springs.
Replace the spring
LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, and other motors that grind, reverse, or ignore the remote.
Fix the opener
Belt, chain, and wall-mount openers with battery backup, remotes, and the keypad programmed before we leave.
Install a new opener
Insulated steel, carriage-house, and modern flush doors, including standard 16x7 openings.
See door styles
Crooked doors, snapped cables, and photo eyes that make the door reverse. Do not force an off-track door.
Reset the door
Two counties, one crew
Califix works out of Ontario and comes to the door for garage door repair across both counties. The truck leaves from East Guasti Road, the close-in San Bernardino cities are minutes away, and Orange County runs 30 minutes to an hour down the 91 and 55. You are not waiting on a dispatcher in another part of the state.
Where we drive
Ontario is home base. The San Bernardino County cities are the next ring out, we cover the Riverside-side cities on the same routes, and Orange County runs from Yorba Linda down to Laguna Beach.

What breaks
Most calls from Ontario to Irvine are one of these. Say which one it is when you call and we bring the likely parts.
A door that will not open is usually a broken spring, a snapped cable, or an opener that has hit its limit. Do not keep hitting the wall button. If the door is heavy by hand, the spring has failed and the opener should stay off until it is balanced again.
That bang is almost always a torsion spring letting go. The door may sit on the ground and feel too heavy to lift. We size a new pair, wind them, and set the balance so the opener is not dragging the full weight of the door.
The motor can hum while the door stays put when the trolley is disconnected, the belt or chain has slipped, or the travel limits are wrong. We check the rail and the disconnect before we tell you the opener itself is done.
Photo eyes that are dirty, sun-struck, or out of line are the usual cause in inland glare and coastal salt air. We clean and realign them, then test that the door reverses when something is in the way. If the sensors are fine, we look at the limits and the tracks.
A crooked door or a roller out of the rail is an off-track door. Leave it where it is. Forcing it can bend the track or drop a section. We reset the rollers, straighten the rail if it is bent, and check the cables.
Dented panels, a tired wood door, or a 16x7 opening that no longer seals are replacement jobs. We measure the opening, match carriage, flush, or raised-panel styles, and balance the springs to the new door’s weight.
Ontario, CA
Califix Garage Doors works out of 3200 E Guasti Rd Ste 100, Ontario, CA 91761, with a second office at 13962 Newport Ave Unit H in Tustin. The phone is (909) 510-0843. Ontario is the service base — the dedicated Ontario page covers that city in depth, from the tracts near Guasti to the warehouse doors along the 60.
Same-day means we book a visit while we are open, 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days. A stuck-open door or a snapped spring goes ahead of a tune-up. You get the price after we see the door and before any parts come off the truck.
From Ontario we drive up the 10 to San Bernardino and Rialto, and out to Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Corona, Upland, Chino, Riverside, and Eastvale for the same spring, opener, and door work. In Orange County we cover eleven cities — Yorba Linda, Tustin, Irvine, and the rest — on the same price-first terms.
Other jobs on the same truck include cable repair, track repair, panel replacement, tune-ups, weather seals, remotes and keypads, and commercial overhead doors. If you want the explanation first, read what repair costs in Ontario or repair or replace. About covers who takes the call, and reviews are the public comments.
A visit
Tell us if the door is stuck open, a spring snapped, or the opener quit. We book a same-day window when the schedule allows.
The technician inspects the springs, cables, tracks, and opener, then gives the price. Nothing starts until you say yes.
Most parts are on the truck. We balance the door and run it through a full open-and-close cycle before we leave.
Questions
Ontario and the close-in San Bernardino County cities get same-day windows most days. Orange County runs 30 minutes to an hour from the shop — north county is usually same-day, south county the next honest slot. We are open 7 AM to 7 PM, seven days.
A sensor or roller fix is less than a torsion spring or a new opener. You get the price on site, after we see the door, and before any repair starts.
Yes. We replace torsion and extension springs, then balance the door so the opener is not lifting the full weight. See spring replacement. Springs are under high tension, so this is not a do-it-yourself job.
Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Corona, Upland, Chino, Riverside, and Eastvale around Ontario. We also serve eleven Orange County cities, from Yorba Linda and Tustin to Irvine and the beach cities. We are located in Ontario, at 3200 E Guasti Rd.
Yes. We repair and install sectional and roll-up doors for shops and warehouses in both counties, including high-cycle springs and operators. Details are on commercial overhead door repair.
The safety sensors are the first thing we check. Dust, a bumped bracket, or bright sun on the photo eyes will stop the door. If the eyes are clear and lined up, we test the close-limit and the tracks.
Yes. New residential openers we install include battery backup, which California requires on a new opener. We set the limits and program the remotes and keypad before we leave.
A 16x7 door is 16 feet wide and 7 feet tall, the size on a lot of two-car garages in both counties. We measure your opening before ordering. The old door’s label is a clue, not a guarantee the new one will fit.
