A loud bang, a door that will not open, or a door that feels very heavy by hand are the usual signs.
Can I drive out if the door is stuck closed?
Only if you can open it safely by hand after disconnecting the opener. If it feels like dead weight, leave it and call.
Do you replace both springs?
On many torsion setups we replace the pair so both sides wear together. We tell you what your door needs on site.
Is a broken spring an emergency?
If the door is stuck open, stuck closed with a car inside, or hanging crooked, call right away while we are open 7 AM to 7 PM.

A year ago we had a new opener installed along with springs for the garage door. Last night about 9pm I sent a message asking for a service to be performed as my garage door was not moving smoothly.
